There are many things you can use a limo for and when you watch a limo go past down the road (usually with desire in your eyes) it could be going anywhere from a party, wedding or prom, to a job interview or an airport. When you go to the airport you have several options available and these are a) to use public transport, b) to drive yourself or c) to use a service such as a limo or an airport taxi. This then means that you'll be late for your flight – unless you planned ahead for this and set off very early in which case you'll risk having to spend hours in an airport and will get much less sleep. Even taxi services sometimes just don't turn up, whereas the prestige and class service associated with a limo ensures that you can rely on your chosen form of transport to take you to your destination as agreed.

On the other hand you could drive, but this too is fraught with difficulties. First of all it would mean that you had to navigate to the airport when you won't have quite the same experience doing so. But then it will mean you'll have to pay not only for petrol, but also for the airport parking for 1 week plus. This can then add up to more than a limo. When you get back you then have the additional challenge of having to drive home while jet lagged and tired and this is likely to be the last thing you want to do.
